DT-1 has been manufacturing foam airfilters for more than 40 years. The brand was founded by Dirk Temmerman, an experienced Belgian motorcross rider who moved to California in the eighties. With his know-how of keeping the airflow safe from the rigorous Belgian weather, he founded DT-1 Airfilters in Visalia, CA – where the company still resides.Since 2004, it’s European counterpart is owned by Johan Boonen, who can look back on along career as a Gp rider and test rider for WP suspension and KTM motorbikes.
The DT-1 Air Filter is the most technological foam air filter on the market. Main difference with other brands is the Super Seal bottom. This ensures a clean and secure connection between the filter and the airbox without the use of grease. The DT-1 Air Filter is made of 2or 3 layers of laminated high-quality European foam and are manufactured handmade in our own workshops in Belgium and USA.By laminating and combining different types of foam, DT-1 airfilters looks for the most optimal solution for every engine – from standard models to one-off projects.DT-1 Air Filters are tested numerous times during development, by the world’s most renowned top teams, professionals and amateurs in the most diverse conditions.
